Intuit’s telemedicine programme, offered through My Bupa, saves you money, time and a trip to the doctor’s office. Given the cost of the programme, it does not meet required levels to be considered a benefit in kind, so there are no tax implications for you to take advantage of this benefit.
Eligibility
Telemedicine services through My Bupa are available to all Intuit employees.
How it works
Services are available by phone or video 24 hours a day, seven days a week to treat many common medical issues, including:
- Allergies
- Respiratory infections
- Colds and flu
- Urinary tract infections
- Digestive disorders
- Common mental health issues like anxiety and depression
Bupa doctors can diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medications and send the prescription to your local pharmacy within one hour. Prescriptions can also be delivered to your home or office.* Doctors can refer you to fully qualified specialists within the National Health Service—no need to see your general practitioner first.
Bupa is a good option when:
- It’s not convenient for you to leave work or home.
- Your doctor is not available on your schedule.
- You have non-emergency health concerns and it’s after-hours.
- You’re traveling and need medical care.
Appointments are typically scheduled within 24 hours of your appointment request.
* Important: Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate.
How to enroll
Register with Bupa either online or via the Apple or Android My Bupa app.
The name you use to register and postal code must match Bupa (medical plan members) or Darwin (non-Medical plan members). You can confirm this information by checking the policy documentation received from Bupa (medical plan members) or by logging on to Darwin, your benefits administrator (non-Medical plan members).
